Education Deprtment Profile

The purpose of Department of School Education is as under :-

1. Compulsory and free education upto Elementary Level under SSA.and includes:

a) Opening / Upgration of schools for Elementary Education.
b) 100% enrollment of children in Educational Instutions
c) Providing of Infrastructural facilities like School buildings , Additional classrooms, Toilets etc.
d) 79 KGBVs (Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidayalayas) are functional
e) The Department provides free of cost Text books from Ist Primary to Eighth.
f) Mid day meal scheme for physical Development of Students is provided from class Ist to Eighth

2. Strengthening of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Institutes under RMSA.(Rashtriya Madyamik Shiksha Abhiyan) and includes:

a) Upgration of Middle schools to High Schools as per feasibility and the norms
b) Proving of Infrastructral facilities to the High School in terms of accomodation, sanitation and Human Resources.
c) 19 Model Schools have been sanctioned by Govt. of India under RMSA.
d) 19 Girls Hostels have been sanctioned by Govt of India.

3. The Department maintains the seniority in 37 subjects of Post Graduate Teachers / Masters for placement as lectures.

4. The Seniority of Principals, Senior Lectures, Lectures, Dy. CEOs, ZEOs is also maintained seperatly.

5.The Deparment has Public Information Officers and Assistant PIOs for Providing Information to any person under the provision of RTI Act
